Great concerts and many thanks…
Hi!
Currently reflecting on the concerts this holiday season and thinking to myself, wow, what a great thing we have going on here. Let’s recap a bit…
Middle school concert showed off our fine young instrumentalists, with the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands all performing. It’s nice to see so many kids up on stage (over 200) through the night enjoying the performance. Keep supporting them at home and encouraging them to continue into high school! Great job to Becky Wilhelm and Maureen Beck, our student teacher, on their work in preparing these kids to perform! Nice job!
The high school concert on Monday was spectacular! So many kids on stage at the same time (approximately 1/3 of the high school) performing the grand finale…simply amazing! I felt like I had the best seat in the house being in the middle of it all conducting. Great job to Wes Hansmeyer and Gayle French for their fine work in preparing the choir and many thanks to Becky Wilhelm and Maureen Beck for helping me get the bands into performance shape.
Finally, many thanks to everyone in the Norris community who consistently continue their support of our music department. The auditorium was packed at the concerts (wondering if we need to build a balcony???) and many fine comments from all who attended. As our program grows we will always be thankful for the support of you, the Norris community, in our activities.
Happy holidays!

Thanks for including me in your comments. Our program has grown and will continue to grow because we have directors who make a difference in students’ lives, both on and off the stage. Thank you for all you do!
